Penny A. Brown began her career in New York City, just out of her teens, on Wall Street as a Junior Accountant with Oppenheimer Management, building a strong foundation in financial systems and business operations, particularly in banking. She later supported the VP of Banking and Corporate Finance at a major financial institution.
Over the years, her work expanded to include automating bookkeeping systems, leading employment workshops at Fountain House, known for its clubhouse model, supporting HRIS systems, and building, networking, and providing technical support for computers and digital devices—including executive mobile support in enterprise environments such as Morgan Stanley and customer-facing support as an Apple Advisor. She later earned multiple tax certifications and went on to manage a tax office—gaining a deep understanding of compliance, financial accuracy, and client trust.
Today, she helps businesses safely utilize AI automation by combining practical implementation, hands-on training, and cybersecurity solutions—so they can work smarter while staying compliant and secure. This unique combination of experience allows her to see both the opportunities and risks businesses face when adopting new technology.
Her work sits at the intersection of AI automation, business operations, and cybersecurity, where she translates complex technology into practical, real-world systems people can actually use.
Penny's interest in cybersecurity developed during her undergraduate studies, where elective coursework introduced her to digital security and systems thinking.
She expanded her skills through hands-on experience, including participation in a Capture the Flag (CTF) cybersecurity competition sponsored by leading technology organizations. As a member of WiCyS (Women in Cybersecurity), she applied Linux-based tools, encryption concepts, and analytical problem-solving to successfully complete challenges and earn multiple achievement badges.
Building on this foundation, she completed the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate in 2025, gaining practical experience with SIEM tools and the integration of AI within cybersecurity environments.
Her work is now centered on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), building on earlier experience supporting and training users of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) at Viacom International, Inc.. During that time, she also developed and authored a user training manual, reinforcing her ability to translate complex systems into practical, usable guidance. She helps organizations understand and manage risk while adopting new technologies responsibly.
The AI/Cybersecurity Connection
As technology evolved, she expanded into AI automation for business, completing advanced certifications that led her to design workflows, training programs, and digital systems that improve efficiency, reduce overwhelm, and create new opportunities for growth.
Today, she brings these disciplines together into a unified approach that is practical, secure, and future-ready—focused on real implementation, grounded in cybersecurity best practices, and aligned with the evolving AI-driven economy.
These experiences naturally led to the development of her Written Information Security Program (WISP) framework, designed to help organizations protect sensitive data, strengthen security practices, and operate with confidence in a digital environment.
Through accessible training tools and clear, actionable guidance, she helps businesses move beyond theory—into real-world application that supports both innovation and protection.
Her Mission
To help businesses understand and use technology with confidence—so they can protect their data, streamline their operations, and create new opportunities in an increasingly digital world.
I believe credibility is built through knowledge, application, and results. My approach is rooted in a natural ability to simplify complex systems—creating practical, easy-to-use solutions and translating them in ways others can understand and apply.
Investing in formal training and certifications to further develop these strengths has helped shape my vision and bring my business to life.
